COVID-19 PROTOCOLS, Established March 2020
We will follow the directives of State heath officials and Government as they are issued.
In order to protect our owners, guests and staff the Board has issued the following directives for operation under the present situation:
As of July 11th We have created a sanitizing station in the pool area for the use of owners and guests with spray bottles and clean rags.
IMPLEMENTED MAY 30th
For the protection of our guests and staff all employees all Owners, Guests and everyone checking in will have their temperatures scanned once at check in, with follow up checks on any one having a temperature of 100 or more.
PROTOCOLS IN PLACE
1. Employment of active social distancing of staff from guests.
a. Check in using mail box and check out with key drop bucket.
b. No staff allowed in guest rooms while occupied. Maintenance issues that cannot be resolved otherwise will result in a room change.
c. Suspension of coffee and donuts.
2. Implement enhanced room cleaning procedures.
a. Alternate room usage when possible to allow a unit to sit empty a week before cleaning.
b. Increase in cleaning supply budget and provide protective gear for our house keepers.
3. Empower Manager to enact any procedures necessary for the safe operation of our resort.
We regret all these inconveniences as we all try to work through this situation safely. The situation is fluid and we will update the site as things may change. Please call the office a day or two before your check in date for the latest info and how to check in.
Sand and Surf is following the State guidelines concerning the Covid-19 outbreak and all subsequent regulations. However the situation is changing weekly and we are dealing with regulations from Florida as well as travel restriction issues that vary from State to State. These restrictions have left some unhappy owners being unable to utilize their Vacation week ownership this year and others who worry the danger of infection is too great at this time. This is a very difficult time for all of us for many reasons and the Board is especially concerned for the health of our owners and our Sand and Surf staff. The Board will make policies accordingly. Please check the website weekly for any new announcements.
As a Time Share Resort in the State of Florida that does not rent to the public. Sand and Surf prohibits Comfort Animals of any type being allowed on Sand and Surf property.
Please be aware that your free 2 year membership in Interval International is free to owners and does not in anyway impact your maintenance fees or place any obligation on owners to use this service whatsoever. II is an international company compatible and similar to RCI and RedWeek and has no impact on you using these companies. This is just an opportunity for owners to use this exchange service if they would like.
IF YOU ARE TRYING TO SELL , GIVE OR PAY A COMPANY TO TAKE YOUR SAND AND SURF UNIT WEEK YOU MUST CONTACT THE OFFICE. WE HAVE SPECIFIC POLICIES THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED IN ORDER FOR YOUR SALE TO BE VALID.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING:
If an owner/guest locks themselves out of the unit after office hours, the owner/guest should call the emergency numbers located on the front window of the office to the right of the front door. A fee of $20.00 cash is to be paid to the employee returning to unlock the door. Response time may take up to 1 hour. For emergencies call 911. ANY OWNER WHO DAMAGES A WINDOW FOR ENTRY WILL BE CHARGED ON THEIR CREDIT CARD FOR THE DAMAGE..
Several incidents involving vehicle damage have occurred, resulting in tickets and fines when police are called. Please park as safely as possible in the designated parking spaces. Larger vehicles must see office to obtain parking in front of building.
Your Condo Docs written in 1979 clearly states the number of people for each unit. The one bedroom units are for six people maximum occupancy which includes children and infants. The efficiency units units are for four people maximum occupancy which includes children and infants. OWNERS AND GUESTS EXCEEDING THESE NUMBERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER AND ARE SUBJECT TO EVICTION IF MANAGEMENT DISCOVERS VIOLATIONS FOLLOWING REGISTRATION.
Owner must be present when family or friend is using the pool for the day. An owner is limited to 4 guests on Sand and Surf Property per day visit.
State Law prohibits glass on pool deck. This includes the grill and smoking area. Bottles in cozies are still bottles! State Law mandates a pool rope. The pool rope can be stretched or broken when sat or stood on. If the rope breaks the pool will be closed until a new rope is installed at a cost of $150.00 charged to the owner or guest who breaks it.
25 YEAR AGE REQUIREMENT
You must be 25 years of age or older to register at Sand and Surf to register. The person registering must also reside in the unit for the entire stay.
CREDIT CARD SERVICE CHARGE.
Sand and Surf is now charging credit card users an additional $12.00 on annual maintenance fees.
Floating reservations during the summer are very limited as most summer owners have fixed weeks. A Board policy was established that stipulated that reservations may begin only on the start of business on the 1st day of each summer month for that following year. This policy will remain in effect as the fairest way to accommodate all owners.
MULTIPLE WEEK OWNERS
Effective as of August 2018 owners with multiple weeks requesting reservations for the same Month for all their units can do it with one call.
WALKWAYS / ENTRANCES:
Toys, rafts, beach chairs and other items left outside units on walkways are a fire/safety hazard by order of the Fire Marshall.
Please keep bicycles, and motorcycles parked in authorized areas only. Do store in units.
Please no use of parking lot as a playground (Insurance liability)
PAPER / PLASTIC STOCKED IN UNITS:
Units have been adequately stocked for a week’s stay. If you need additional items, they should be purchased from local stores.
HURRICANES / TROPICAL STORMS:
Week(s) cancelled or leaving early due to weather cannot be reassigned/replaced or refunded.
LINENS / TOWEL EXCHANGE:
Towel exchange is ONLY “1” time per week, on Wednesdays, unless you are off property for the day. Sheets are NOT exchanged. Any request for additional bedding will cost $25.00 per change. Normal stay/over cleaning for those staying more than one week will continue to be scheduled by housekeeper. There is no daily maid service
During high occupancy Months Sand and Surf may require all occupants under the age of 18 and over the age of 4 to wear wristbands at the pool area. Wristbands will be issued at registration. Visitors for the day must be registered with the front desk and wristbands will be issued at that time. Children under 4 and under are not required to wear wristbands.
Owners, exchangers and guests should report incidents that violate Sand & Surf policies during their stay. Incidences reported at checkout prohibit us from correcting them and ensuring your stay is enjoyable at Sand & Surf.
ILLEGAL DRUGS and ALCOHOL ABUSE:
Sand and Surf has a zero tolerance policy for illegal drugs and or alcohol abuse on Sand and Surf property which includes the pool area. If this activity is observed or reported the police will be called immediately and the person or persons involved will have to leave the property.
PERENNIAL VACATION CLUB:
DUE TO A PROBLEM LAST SUMMER, PERENNIAL HAS ASKED THAT THERE BE NO CROSSING OVER FROM PROPERTY TO PROPERTY. WE ASK ALL OWNERS AND GUESTS TO COMPLY.
COFFEE, JUICE AND DOUGHNUTS:
COFFEE, JUICE AND DOUGHNUTS WILL BE SERVED ON TUESDAYS STARTING AT 9:30AM. (Check with Office for location) CHILDREN ARE TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, RESORT MANAGER AND STAFF AT SAND AND SURF WORK DILIGENTLY TO PROTECT SAND AND SURF PROPERTY. HOWEVER, OWNERS AND GUESTS MUST ALSO MEET THEIR RESPONSIBILITY IF WE ARE TO MAINTAIN THE PROPERTY, PREVENT INCIDENTS, ACCIDENTS AND MAINTAIN FINANCIAL SOLVENCY.
The Board of Directors has strived to maintain annual fees at a reasonable level. This would not be possible if money designated for improvements are instead spent on repairs and covering the cost of negligence. Owners and guests are held responsible for repairs and replacements when they are identified. Please report incidents to management so we can protect your property. Thank you
